Biography
Zhihua Zhang was born in 1989 in Wuwei, China. He completed his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering and Technology from East China University of Science and Technology in 2013, his PhD from East China University of Science and Technology in 2021. Since July 2021, he has served as a Postdoctoral Associate at East China University of Science and Technology. His current focus is on construction and exploration efficiency Au-Ti bifunctional catalysts on hydro-oxidation of low-carbon hydrocarbons (e.g., propane and propene) to high value-added chemicals.

Research Interests
Catalytic hydro-oxidation of propene to propene oxide (PO):
Aiming at the directed gas-phase epoxidation of propene to propene oxide using H2 and O2, analyzing the kinetic characteristics and stability of the catalytic reaction.
Catalytic hydro-oxidation of propane to acetone:
Aiming at the directed transformation of gas-phase selective oxidation of propane to acetone using H2 and O2, analyzing the kinetic characteristics and stability of the catalytic reaction.
Developing effective method for synthesizing highly active supported nanogold catalysts:
Aiming at enhancing the dispersion of Au nanoparticles by developing simple and effective preparation method for supported nanogold catalysts, utilizing in situ spectroscopy, XAS, and DFT calculations combined techniques to construct the structure-activity relationship.
