Biography
Wenjie Wang earned her Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology from Lanzhou University of Technology in 2020. She received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology in 2025. Since September 2025, she has served as a postdoctoral associate at East China University of Science and Technology. Her current research focuses on the catalytic pyrolysis of waste plastics for the production of fuels and high-value-added chemicals.

Research Interests
Catalytic pyrolysis of waste plastics for fuel and high-value-added chemicals
Chemical recycling of waste plastics into building block chemicals, such as benzene/toluene/xylene (BTX), ethylene/propylene/butene, naphtha and sustainable aviation fuel, via catalytic pyrolysis and hydrocracking.
Characterization techniques for analyzing catalyst microstructures and electronic properties
Utilizing in situ spectroscopy, XAS, and DFT calculations combined techniques to analyze the kinetic characteristics of surface species adsorbed on optimized catalyst structures.
